Letter to Our Patrons
Since its inception in 1968, the Glenn D. Loucks Games have annually drawn more than 1,000 athletes hailing from all over the East coast and several Canadian provinces. Over the years, the three-day meet has regularly produced some of the top performances in the nation each year.
Loucks Games officials, selected with care from a waiting list, are among the most highly qualified in American track and field. Among them are several who have officiated at the Olympic Games, U.S. Olympic Trials, Pan American Games, Goodwill Games and NCAA Championships.
Costs for staging the Loucks Games each year represent an escalating proposition. Corporation contributions and individual event sponsorships have helped fund the Games for many years but it is an ever-growing annual struggle just to cover expenses.
I invite you to join many other corporations and individuals throughout this region—people who care about our youth and wish to help support a quality athletic and community event—in becoming a Loucks Games Sponsor for the 41st annual Loucks Games scheduled for May 8-10, 2008. You may also want to visit us on our new web site – www.loucksgames.org and see for yourself the value of your contribution to this worthwhile event.
Please support the Loucks Games by filling out the included form. Your commitment to our program is always greatly appreciated.
Yours truly,
John R. McCarthy, Chairman
