Information Sheet

 

A good Cross Country Season begins in June!

I need your email address: please send it to me at jsingleton@wpscd.k12.ny.us ASAP. Put in the subject: an email from (your name). I’ll send you updates during the summer.

 

*                      Student-athletes need to get a physical or an update as soon as possible. Please stop in the PE office to get the form that is needed by your physician.

 

*                      *Open practices will be held every Thursday night beginning at 6:45 PM July13th. We will meet at the track. We must develop the concept of “Team”, thus it is imperative that you attend as many of these practices as possible.

 

*                      *August 28th at 9:30 AM will be the first day of regular practice, meet behind the pool

 

*                      We will have practice each day that week (Monday – Thursday) at 9:00 AM. There will be no organized practice from Friday September 1st through Labor Day September 4th. But get out and run!

 

*                      When school reopens on Tuesday September 5th, practice will start at its regular time of 3:10.

 

*                      *Summer mileage goals begin July 1st and end August 31st please keep your logs updated

 

*                      100 miles is the goal for rising 9th graders and newcomers

 

*                      150 miles is the goal for rising 10th and 11th graders

 

 

*                      200 miles is the goal for rising 12th graders

 

 

Remember a good year starts by coming in prepared on August 28th
