2008 Results

We thank everyone for attending "The Games".
Despite Friday's weather we think we offered a fine product.
Thank you for allowing us to find our way around our new facility.
It was a new experience for us!

We had thought that we'd have a "trial" meet prior to Loucks, so that we could get all of the kinks out. But construction delays (our team first stepped onto to the track on May 2nd) caused us to have to wing it.

Regretfully, the high jumpers suffered the most. During Friday's heavy rain, knowing we had a second pit, we chose to have two jumps at the same time on Saturday morning, an action which would have allowed us to keep on schedule. Little did we know that prior to our meet, the second pit, which hadn't seen the light of day since June, had been used by mice for their own Rodent Olympics, making the cover unavailable for human use. That produced the lengthy delays - especially for the girls.
As meet director, I apologize to all who had to wait.
